PROCESO DE CREACIÓN
Balmond began by drawing a square. He then drew a line from the middle of each side to a third of a way down the adjacent side, and then joined those lines to form a rotated copy of the original square, whose edges now extended beyond those of the first square. This algorithm was repeated until a continuous series of concentric squares created a intricate mesh of structure defining series of solids and voids that folded down, like a pizza box with the corners cut away, to form the ceiling and walls of a structure that was, at once, light, open, and a delight to the eye. “Complex doesn’t mean difficult,” says Balmond. “You can appreciate it.”
